One of the greatest heresies created by Reformed Protestantism was the idolatry of the Bible. The Word of God was transformed into a book, translated and compiled by men.
The fruit of this heresy has been clear among the Reformed Protestants: Numerous theological senses have been created, many conflicting with each other, generating confusion, strife, quarrels and separations between the children of the same Father.
However, the Bible itself teaches Who is the Word of God:
"THE WORD BECAME FLESH and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14
The sane Bible itself teaches that the Word of God cannot be contained in books:
"Jesus did many other things as well. IF EVERY ONE OF THEM WERE WRITTEN DOWN, I SUPPOSE THAT EVEN THE WHOLE WORLD WOULD NOT HAVE ROOM FOR THE BOOKS THAT WOULD BE WRITTEN." John 21:25
The Word of God was incarnated in Jesus.
Jesus is everything; and whoever does not consider Jesus thus, has not yet entered into the kingdom of understanding according to God. This is a fact to which there are no bargains to propose.
No men should be scandalized that Jesus is the One Word, the One Eternal Word; and what is more, it is a human, inspired testimony; yes, He is the testimony of that hope or faith. Since in Jesus, and not in the Bible, is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Without such a vision, everything is idolatry. Yes, the Bible becomes an idol, the Scriptures are greater than Jesus, and the doctrines of the church become the behavioral label of God, as defined by men.
The Bible serves Christ and not Christ serves the Bible. Christ is superior to the Bible, for the Word became flesh and not the book.
Do not idolize the book and give your body and soul to the Incarnated Word. Learn from Christ day by day, read the Gospels in sequence, without stopping, and see the Word of God made flesh, who dwelt among men and shone His light.
Only then after believing and surrendering to the Word of God that was made flesh and not a book, then you will be able to read the book, called the Bible, and find in it the unchanging Word of God, which was revealed to man but completely revealed in His totality when incarnated in Christ.
